Sunscreen should always be applied last, after your moisturiser, to ensure it forms a protective layer on your skin. The general rule is to apply products from thinnest to thickest texture. Here's why:
- Moisturiser hydrates and locks moisture into your skin, prepping it for the sunscreen layer.
- Sunscreen creates a physical or chemical barrier that protects your skin from harmful UV rays. If you apply sunscreen first, the moisturiser might dilute or affect its effectiveness.
Tip: Let your moisturiser absorb into your skin for about 1-2 minutes before applying sunscreen for the best results.

How long after retinol to apply moisturiser?
Wait about 10-15 minutes after applying retinol before applying your moisturiser. This gives the retinol time to fully absorb and work its magic, while the moisturiser helps to soothe and hydrate the skin.
