The power of plants
The Almond Tree, capable of growing in dry soils, produces a crunchy nut known for its delicious and delicate sweet flavor. With origins dating back five or six thousand years in Iran, the Almond Tree spread throughout the entire Mediterranean basin before making its way to California in the 19th century. Well-suited to the hot, dry climate of this region, California soon emerged as the world center for Almond production. The Almond, laden with symbolism such as immortality and representing 'the essence hidden within things of little apparent importance,' is celebrated for its delightful taste and skin benefits.
