Leaf of Life

Protecting the soil and biodiversity is a longstanding commitment at Clarins. That’s why we have always given priority to plant-based active ingredients sourced from organic agriculture, grown using sustainable farming methods that respect nature and the health of the soil. Our Leaf of Life extract is organically certified and obtained using a natural and environmentally friendly extraction process. Because our commitment to responsible agriculture concerns both plants and the people who grow them, in 2015, Clarins set up a fair trade supply chain in Madagascar in partnership with Jardins du Monde. This programme takes concrete action through several initiatives in support of local communities. These include the building of schools, community buildings and sanitary equipment that in turn, improve access to education, favourise social cohesion and improve hygiene.
